so how is KOFF updated, guess it checks KMS and KOFF knows that it needs to be updated--so how does KOFF know where to download the new version, is it from a server directory when the server was updated--or does it go to Kerio.com

is there a manual push from the admin console to make sure all end users are updated?

just wondering, new at KMS--thanks.

It downloads the new KOFF from the Mailserver it connects to, so no automatic connections to Kerio.

But if you just searched the forums (and perhaps the manual) you could have known it as it is mentioned earlier.

all the forum and manual reads are that KOFF is updated when end user opens Outlook--no more information as you suggested "mentioned earlier"--and since there are documented problems with KOFF updates I just wanted to know more about the process.

a search for *off* in the server revealed that on install-path\Kerio\MailServer\webmail\download\ are files for the update:

KMS.KOC-6-5-2-T-6-426.tgz Kerio Outlook Connector
KMS.KOFF-6-5-2-T-6-426.tgz Kerio Outlook Connector (Offline Edition)
KMS.KSP-6-5-2-T-6-426.tgz Kerio Synchronization Plug-in

there is also kerio-ksc-6.5.2-6426-mac.dmg for the Mac, way to go guys--looks like kerio has it together!!

in conclusion and guessing since the files are there, then the update most probably comes from the server and not kerio.com

thanks,

ps: here are the popups after the upgrade.
