Hello,

I have a local Exchange 2003-Server which has configured my external kerio-mailserver as smarthost.

Exchange can't relay to kerio. The logs lock like:

04.09.2008 14:30:22 119384 47 < 250-AUTH CRAM-MD5 PLAIN LOGIN DIGEST-MD5 NTLM
04.09.2008 14:30:22 119384 47 < 250-SIZE 41943040
04.09.2008 14:30:22 119384 47 < 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES
04.09.2008 14:30:22 119384 47 < 250-8BITMIME
04.09.2008 14:30:22 119384 47 < 250 HELP

04.09.2008 14:30:28 119384 6156 < 535 5.7.0 Authentication failed

If I take Outlook Express and put Kerio-Mailserver as outgoing mailserver with authentication the mail could sent and the log locks like:

04.09.2008 14:36:33 121001 500 < 250-AUTH CRAM-MD5 PLAIN LOGIN DIGEST-MD5 NTLM
04.09.2008 14:36:33 121001 500 < 250-SIZE 41943040

04.09.2008 14:36:33 121001 500 < 250-8BITMIME
04.09.2008 14:36:33 121001 500 < 250 HELP

04.09.2008 14:36:33 121001 734 < 334 UGFzc3dvcmQ6
04.09.2008 14:36:33 121001 781 > OTE4MjczNjQ=
04.09.2008 14:36:33 121001 781 < 235 2.0.0 Authentication successful

There is a little different in the AUTH LOGIN.

Does anybody have an idea how to relay from exchange to kerio and why Outlook Express works and exchange not?

The Smart Host, Connector, ... is correctly configured in exchange because if I disable kerio and put another mailserver at the place of kerio (we evalute 3 at the moment) all works fine.

It seems that kerio doesn't like the authentication form which Exchange uses.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Stefan

Addendum:
As I read in a previous post I should disbale LOGIN-Method in kerio. I do that but my log now locks like that:

04.09.2008 15:03:58 126912 63 < 250-AUTH CRAM-MD5 PLAIN DIGEST-MD5 NTLM
04.09.2008 15:03:58 126912 63 < 250-SIZE 41943040
04.09.2008 15:03:58 126912 63 < 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES
04.09.2008 15:03:58 126912 63 < 250-8BITMIME
04.09.2008 15:03:58 126912 63 < 250 HELP
04.09.2008 15:03:58 126912 125 Disconnect

Exchange gets immediatelly disconected...

Upgrade to the latest KMS 6.5.2. It should work there.

Correct. I just did that. I use a old downloaded version for the trial run...

Stupid thing from myself ... Always evaluate the actual version of ANY software...
