Hi I have Kerio Mailserver installed on a Win2K8 server and I am using Thunderbird on a Ubuntu Linux laptop. I am able to receive emails with no problem but am unable to send them.

Are there any instructions on the site for setting this up correctly or does Kerio not support Thunderbird?

Thanks,
Jeremy

I'm using Thunderbird (Windows) here Ok.

Is an error message displayed? Are you using POP or IMAP access? Do you get prompted for your username and password? If you've already done that, have you tried deleting the password?

I presume you've already checked Thunderbird's outbound mail configuration (server name, etc).

Thanks for the reply.

I get connecting to the smtp server failed. I try using SSL in outgoing server settings with port 443 and no ssl with port 25.

I installed thunderbird on my Vista desktop and got the same problem with sending. I set it up as pop should it be IMAP?

update: added an account as IMAP but it was unable to receive mail.
