hi all,

is it possible to change the active directory password using webmail? or does ntlm-authentication only read username and password but can't change?

regards

you have to setup your domain user to map to active directory and set it up as mentioned in the manual.

that is all you need to do other things works kewl.

Check the security logs on the domain controller. That should give you more info. There are a few possibilities, like the account might not have met minimum password age yet to change the password, etc.

As far as I can tell the mail server is unable to make a change on the dc as far as passwords go. You might want to check sedell's suggestion and take a look in the security log. What I have been able to figure out is if there are password restrictions you would get a "password invalid" message instead of a generic error. (or at least I got password invalid with a user set to be unable to change his password) You may also want to file a trouble ticket with kerio at support.kerio.com.
