I'd like some advice on handling inboxes with large amounts of data. What are the best practices for this.

In my case I have 3 years of messages totaling 12 GB and 64,000 messages. I'm noticing that apple mail is lately slow to sync and uses excessive cpu. We are a small company with less than 20 users, but a few of the other long term staff also have large mail stores like this.

Advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric
