I only use KOFF on laptops and remote office desktops.

No need to use it on our inhouse desktops; even with 40 users using KOC, 15 using KOFF, 5 iPhones, 10 webmail users and an average mailbox of 2.3GB, KMS (installed on a Ubuntu box on our VMware ESX server) is handeling it just fine.

#1) KOFF data stores get corrupt too often to support 600 users. I have had to fix mine numerous times, and I am not alone here. Perhaps you can detect corrupt stores and auto-rebuilt the store.... if I have high speed connection, or as an optional checkbox? Or prompt the user "You are experiencing many errors in your Outlook e-mail, do you wish to fix it now?"

#2) Many PC's have 5-10 users. Many users have 1+ GB stores. I'd run out of disk space on many of my PC's.

#3) We get strange SQL like errors with e-mails that KOFF can't seem to handle. While these e-mails show up in webmail, they are invisible in KOFF.

#4) Speed. KB946983 and KB952142 and KOFF seem to be very slow. Removing those patches from every PC would be a burden. KOC doesn't seem, imo, as slow as KOFF with those patches.

That said, we are wanting to move to KOFF. We are very slowly adding users.

Much better than previous versions

its a resource hog !

requiring Outlook 2003 SP3 provided a challenge for older Outlook client

I have had issues with previous versions of KOC that users are hesitant to use it

still have issues at times using rules in Outlook when using KOC

we are using a mix of KOC and KOFF which is about 50/50 for 160 users.

on a functionality basis i prefer KOFF over KOC, but KOFF doesn't always work very fast on older pc's which are already in use for a couple of years.

on new pc's it works like a charm because they are powerfull enough.

most important thing i would like to see improved is the the startup speed. even on the most recent pc's (with intel Core 2 duo E8400) it still takes around 20 to 25 seconds before outlook starts to sync with the server.

Most of our users are on terminal servers and have no need for "local" caching, so we only use KOC.

Older outlook 2k users can only have KOC and we don't need KOFF.

Also, those using KOC have it only to get the shared and public calendars. They are still using pop for email retrieval.

Would Kerio Outlook Connector (offline mode) help offload a server with 800 concurrent users currently using Kerio Outlook Connector (non offline).

Cheers
