I have been experimenting with Kerio for CalDAV for calendar access from Apple iCal. I have everything working as expected and have shared each users default calendar so everyone can see everyone else's.

I have successfully created events in iCal and sent notifications to attendees which is pretty sweet.

I am seeing an issue though when trying to drag and drop attendees from Apple's directory application which as far as I can tell is trying to send the notification to the full url '<_a.t_>' instead of the users email address. Has anybody seen this, no of a way to work around it? Is it a bug?

this seems to be a bug (one of many in that app). have you tried drag & dropping to e.g. TextEdit?

No directory services in iCal is a major issue right now, but certainly not Kerio's issue as it is a shortcoming of iCal. By the way, try drag & dropping an LDAP contact from the Address into an iCal appointment... I was not impressed (vcard symbol shows when I drag & drop, but nothing happens when you drop it).

So, iCal + Kerio + invites = type the mail address for each person you want to invite, or use the sync connector (yuck) to sync contacts of your Kerio to your local address book (that way iCal can find names when you enter them).

Let's hope this gets fixed by Apple soon.
