Hello all,

In regards to the automatic KOFF updates after Kerio Mail Server has been updated, what have you done with non administrator users?

I noticed that the user needs to have write rights on the Outlook Connector folder in program files in order for the update to work, or the install must be run as administrator. I would like for the clients to be updated without those of us in the support department to become involved.

Comments / Suggestions?

When you install KOFF initially, the permissions on the install directory get updated to allow members of the Users group write/modify permission. If you haven't modified the local Users group, the network Domain Users group, or their permissions, your users shouldn't run into permission issues when the automatic update runs.

Thanks for the reply. That would explain why some non-administrator users are OK and other are not.

Thanks for the information!
