I want to create a folder for training room & board room etc. In the kerio guide it says "resources" are best used for opposed to say some generic public calendar folder list "birthdays" or "holidays".

I dont understand how though.

If I create a Board room folder in public folders & make it a calendar item, a new Board Room calendar appears in my outlook, which is all good & works fine.

If I create a "room" in resources , all i get is an email address.I dont get any Calendar. Is one supposed to appear, or is resources only used as a distribution group or something?

Thats another thing I dont understand. What is the difference between mailing lists & groups? If I want an email to be received by a group of people, I usually use "groups" & add members, works fine. So , in what instance would I need or want to use mailing lists as opposed to groups?
