We are running 6.6.2 and have 1 user who's mail password will not stick. It started when the user was having trouble accessing a particular file server. The OD account was deleted and recreated that restored access to all servers. The mail account was also recreated and the mail copied back into the account.

Now for some reason, this account's password works for about 5 hours for mail, then stops working. It then has to be changed to a crypt password, saved, then changed back to an open directory password and resaved to be restored.

Access to file servers is never interrupted, only for mail and only for this one person. We are using Apple Open Directory with Kerberos authentication as our directory service type.

Anybody else have this problem ?

Sounds like the user record in OD has gotten corrupted. I would back up their stuff, kill the account, re-add their account and see if that helps.

Thank you for the quick reply.. Much appreciated.. That has already been tried unfortunately. The OD account was wiped, which wiped out the Kerio mail account. Once the OD account was created again, the mail account was set up again and the mail restored. The odd thing about it is only the Kerio part is affected. When the password fails to work for email, it continues to work for server access. I wonder if having the same username is messing this up somehow ?

What do the logs say when the user cannot login?

I had a similar issue and I had to do the same although on 6.5.2. I say call support and have them take a look at it. Post back your findings. One thing I may suggest is have them use webmail and see what the outcome is.
