I need to move a user's email to a new domain account on the same Kerio server. How should I go about this? I would like to keep all her email and folder structure intact.

We are using KMS 6.5 and the KOC with Outlook 2003.

I thought about exporting to a PST and then importing the PST once I had the new KOC account set up.

What do you think?

if you feel lucky, you can create that user's account in the new domain, then access the mailstore on a file level, copy all the contents of the user's mailbox from the old domain, paste it into the new domain, rename all the index files to index_bad and restart the mail server.

Could work...make a backup before you try that and don't cry if it screws up your server Wink

Another option would be to connect the old and the new account (via IMAP) simultaneously and copy the contents from one account to the other. For the calendar and contacts, export them into a file and import them again.

This would make me feel safer than doing it with a .pst.

It's actually pretty easy. Just create the new user and delete the old one. When you delete the old user, KMS asks you what you want to do with the mails. One of the options is to transfer it to a new account.

Once you do this, the new user gets a folder called "Deleted mailbox of olduser<_a.t_>example.com".
