We're starting to compile a list of email addresses for an email newsletter to some of our clients. We've been using a public contacts list within KMS for a while now, so I figured I could just create a simple distribution list. Well, evidently you can't create one at all except via webmail. In Entourage and Outlook, I can only create lists that are associated with local addresses only, not ones in the public contacts list; I can't figure out how to pull them over.
Ok, not the end of the world since I can do this via webmail. So I created a distribution list that seems to be associated with our public contacts list. Interestingly, my Outlook users can see and delete names from the distribution list now, and I assume send to it, even though they couldn't create it originally. My Entourage users can't see the new list at all.
I am guessing that these issues are just limitations between Outlook, Entourage and KMS. Am I wrong and just missing something obvious?
I don't really mind having to create the public distribution list via webmail, but it sure would be nice to edit and send messages to it easily from both Outlook and Entourage. Hopefully this made sense! Thanks in advance for any help.
