I'm experiencing the following error:

"Antivirus check of mail from ... Plugin is not responding."

I've changed from local to network mode as per this post:

ClamAv thread

However, clamAV now won't initialize and is giving me this error:

AvModule.cpp: Server: external plugin cannot be initialized: Unable to initialize plugin, error: Cannot initialize session to Clam AntiVirus
AvModule.cpp: Server: external plugin failed to start Unable to initialize plugin, error: Cannot initialize session to Clam AntiVirus

If i go into the management console and disable then re-enable the antivirus plug in it corrects the issue for about a day and then it resurfaces.
Anyone experience this issue or have thoughts on what might be causing it?

This is KMS 6.6.2 on Windows Server 2003

I get the same thing. It is sayng that clamav is not running so it can't connect to it. It looks like a clamav issue. I also went through a similar start clamav/disable/enable thing. It doesn't happen too often anymore. A while back it was worse and I might have to also go into options, make an arbitrary change, then change it back to get it to work. I think it got better when I installed a slightly later version of clamav.

Anyway, you may want to see if there is a later version than the one you are running:

Thanks for the post.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled with the newest version and its at least connecting in network mode now.

Will post with an update in the next few days if the original error reappears or not.

incase anyone runs into this issue at a future date.
This seems to have corrected the issue. It has been up
and running flawlessly since the reinstall of ClamAV.
