Hi,

One of my clients is a law firm that is *very* careful about their document retention policy. It is important to them that almost all messages older than one year get deleted. This is not just messages in the "Junk E-Mail" and "Deleted Items." that would be too easy Very Happy

I currently do that on Communigate Pro with a perl script. It scans messages and deletes emails from folders that do not have "ARCHIVE" in the folder name. (Some messages need to be retained for five years.)

How can I do that with Kerio?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

What Operating System are you running on? You can simply write a script or one line command that deletes files older than a certain number of days / months.

I have replied to a similar post before, Maybe it can help you.

Thank you

Sounds like Kerio doesn't have the feature.

The server is OS X, so I could certainly use a batch file, assuming KMS can reindex from the commandline. It doesn't sound elegant though. I'm nervous about pulling the messages without warning KMS first. That seems rude Smile

I met with the client yesterday, and we are going to use Exchange.

Thanks for your help.
