I just complete a new server install of W2K8 and Kerio. I installed the Kerio AD extensions on the W2K3 Domain Controller and I can add a user to Kerio from AD Users and Groups and that user shows up properly in Kerio.

However, I am unable to map an AD user from the Kerio Administration Console. When I attempt to map a user I receive the following error:

error: ldap operation failed. Check that you have installed Directory Extensions properly.

and the window comes up empty.

I have reinstalled the Directory Extensions and rebooted both servers. Same error message results. I am able to successfully add AD groups so I know I am talking to the server correctly. Is this a known issue?

There are many reasons why user mapping could fail (invalid credentials, not installed extension, too many users, network error etc.). Unfortunately, Administration Console is not able to show exact error. I would suggest enabling "Directory Service" debugging in the debug log and contacting our technical support.
