We run KMS behond WinRoute Firewall and want to allow a single person to use email via his Motorola Q running Windows Mobile 6.1

Is there a tutorial on the easiest way to set this up in both the firewall and KMS? Obviously, I have not yet found it although I find parts of the answer scatered.

We have a Q user here, too. (I'm going from memory so this may be a little vague.) As I recall, all you have to do is setup ActiveSync on the Q. Just open ActiveSync, fill in the user & server info, then select the stuff you want synced: contacts, email, calendar, etc.

But there's a few gotcha's. ActiveSync, AFAIK, only uses the standard port 80 & 443, and you can't change that even with a URL:PortNumber address. So make sure you can get to your kerio server via these ports from your WAN.

I'd keep it simple by testing first with SSL OFF on your Q so you can test the sync/connection over port 80 first. Once that's working then turn on SSL & try again. If it fails then you need to import your kerio server's certificate onto the Q. (Google that for directions because I can't recall them.)

I think that's it. Good luck!
