Hello,
I have a user that uses his BB Storm and gets his email with BB Internet Service, which is free with Verizon. For some odd reason on his phone it does this resync(?) where it checks for new email and then it re downloads messages that might have already been viewed. Of course it then sends an email to the person who sent it stating he got the message. Have others seen this? I have a blackberry curve going through the same service no issues with Kerio. Is this due to the new OS 4.7.x on the Storm, as I am on 4.5.x.

Thanks

What does that have to do with Kerio Mail Server?

Its the interaction between KMS and the blackberry. I figure there is a ton of posts on here about notify sync and peoples issues why not post an issue I am having with the blackberry service. Maybe others had the same issue? Or there is a resolution?

So you are using KMS (I haven't seen that in your first post). Which version on which server OS?

Are you using POP or IMAP to get the messages? If you use the BB Internet Service provided by your carrier and only want the messages, you don't need notify sync.

Thanks for trying to help but if I post something on here of course I am using Kerio Laughing

I believe BB service uses IMAP.

I only mentioned Notify since you asked why I would make a post about this on here. It would be the same as why would notify users make posts on here?

So you are saying, someone opens and deletes a mail on the Storm and then he gets it again. The sender of this mail then gets two delivery notifications.

Have I understood this right?

Any IMAP client should remember which messages it has already downloaded. In that case, the problem is rather with the carriers implementation of IMAP.

In any case, you can have a look at the KMS debug log and switch on IMAP server logging to see what is happening.

At some point the users phone basically did a refresh and re downloaded the mailbox. Not sure if it was whole inbox or not.

For that seems to be a Blackberry/Carrier Problem and not a specific KMS problem. KMS ist just playing the IMAP server role. But maybe I'm wrong and someone else here has a different view.

Who knows thats why I asked if the question. I know I have seen issues with IMAP and the clients on desktops but not on a phone. Each type of communication has its own issue. Thanks for your help.
