I see that for some reason if you use the footer option for all email to external contacts and you reply back and forth from original starting message, the footer gets repeated each time. So if you go back and forth 20 time with someone, the emails get longer and longer with the footer ALWAYS duplicated at bottom...very annoying. Is there a way to stop this? I checked the option to not append on internal people, but does not stop it on external mail. It should only put it there once from the 1st email. Version 6.4.2

The footer is just text appended to the end of the email and is not identifiable as a footer. It is not distinguishable from the rest of the email. Even searching for identical text will not work because a reply can be at the beginning or end of the email and the originating email often has characters prefixed to the beginning of each line such as:

>> this is a line from the original message in the reply.

It gets even messier if the email is in a non text format such as html.
