I am not in our it dept, so forgive me if this post has some incorrect info.

We are trying to connect iPhones to our exchange server. We were able to connect through VPN by allowing PPtP connections, but this isn't the optimal solution. The VPN connection will reset and have to be manually restarted everytime the user wants to check mail.

It would be preferable to open a port and connect that way, but from what I gather, we tried that and it allowed a direct connection to exchange. Good for the iphone, but it bypasses our spam filter and lets spam in....lots of spam.

How would anyone suggest getting this working with the ports and without the spam. The easy solution seems like filtering by MAC address, but that option doesn't appear to be in Winroute. Filtering by IP won't work because it will be dynamic on the phones. Thanks for any help/suggestions.
