Does the pop3 download in kerio administration work on a schedule?
Sometimes, it works for me by itself and others(like now) you have to trigger it manually.

Can anyone tell me how to set it to work on a schedule or at least troubleshoot as to why its not?

regards

Try: Administrator >> configuration >> scheduling >> add >> Check Select Download messages from POP3 mailboxes

Funny how that makes sense! Thanks!

I suppose il ask this though. Is there an advantage to using ETRN over POP download when using backup mail servers hosted by ISP's.

POP connects to a pop server and retrieves any emails for an account.

ETRN (Extended Turn) is an extension to SMTP that tells an SMTP server to start sending it any accumulated email for a doamain. The remote server holds on to the mail until requested with an ETRN command.

It depends on how your ISP's server is set up. AFAIK a backup server is reached via a lower priority MX record when your server is down. It may periodically try to forward email to your server without your having to do anything.
