Hi,
two days ago we updated from KMS 6.6.2-7165 to 6.7.0-7660. KMS is running on Server 2008 STD SP2. After the update strange problems started to occure.
A user types e-mail address in outlook and sends mail it goes directly to different e-mail address. We noticed that this is happening only when the address is not picked from public contacts.

Please can anyone help with this. We tried almoust everything even delete and rebuild public contacts from scratch.

P.S. The problem occures with Outlook 2007 and 2003

I ran into this as well. It was a problem with Outlook auto-complete. Addresses that had been cached that were also in the public contact list showed this behavior. It seems that when an address gets cached, if it's in your contact lists, it stores a pointer to your contact list item. That appeared to get crosslinked because of changes to the GAL. Once the address was in the To: box, double click it an it showed the contact card for someone else. I disabled Outlook auto-complete on all machines via Group Policy until the GAL gets fixed.

I found if you delete the auto-complete cache file, it seemed to rebuild with the correct info. On Windows XP, the file is located at:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\<mailprofile>.NK2

I don't want to take any chances though, as mail addressed within the company was getting sent to the wrong people. Until the GAL gets fixed, that auto-complete cache is staying disabled.
