I'm struggling with searching the various phone number fields via LDAP.

I can't seem to get matches as I would expect them.

Example:
(sn=Smith) returns all people with "Smith" as their surname.

(workPhone=123\2d456) doesn't return anything, although there are several people with "123-456" as their "telephoneNumber".

Also why doesn't the filter (telephoneNumber=*) work? Is there a mapping table somewhere?

Cheers,
-mARKUS

Any luck???? I am even doing even this search

(| (cn=hugo) (telephoneNumber=0))

which searches common name starting with "hugo" OR telephoneNumber starting with "0" and no results are given, even when the cn=hugo retrieves 3 matches!!!!

I am trying to implement a directory lookup for an Asterisk server and this is really annoying!!!

The LDAP server in KMS is only meant to facilitate auto-complete of email addresses in email clients. It can't give you much besides names and emails - unfortunately. Also, it can only return data from the authenticating user's various contact folders, so there's no way to look up serverwide data (e.g. a list of every user in every domain) no matter who you authenticate as in the LDAP binding. Kerio already has a suggestion on file for an interface to look up data (user lists, license count etc. etc.), so file a feature request with support and say you want in on suggestion #21535.

Great! The thing is: public folders are a great place to put the company contacts, and a great source for a caller id function.

I'll file it, I only hope the suggestion is not too complex.

I sure too hope they can include all telephones number in the LDAP service. I was struggling hard to figure it out some months ago because I wanted to build a search page for searching contacts based on phone numbers for a caller id software (http://projects.colsolgrp.net/projects/show/superfecta). When I contacted support they confirmed that it was not implemented but there was a case for it but no given time schedule.
