Hello

we now use firefox to access kerio webmail

kerio webmail is only accessed now via a browser (firefox, due to the dragdropupload addon)

we have some users who do lots of scanning throughout the day

when we was using outlook, we had the facility to scan and then attach it to a new mail automatically.

can this be done in anyway with kerio webmail / using a browser?

any addons to firefox etc...

the scanning machines all use xp pro, the scanning software has an icon which automatically opens a new mail and attaches your new scanned image when you click the scan-to-mail button within the scanning software...

any help would be appiciated

regards

Martin

I don't think there is such a thing. In the end, webmail has some shortcomings, because it is webmail. It doesn't work offline, it doesn't integrate with other software. On the other hand, you can use it on any machine without installing something.

Can't you scanner/software itself directly send the email? Without invoking any local email client, but directly to the (Kerio) SMTP service?

We have scanners that can scan and send by email 'themselves'. What we do is go to the scanner and ask the scanner to mail the scanned document to ourselves. We then receive an email with the scan attached and ca, for example, forward the scan with some added email text. Of course, if no accompanying text is needed, we can also directly send the scan from the scanner to the final email recipient.
