Dear Kerio WinRoute Firewall fans,

The KWF and QA teams would like to thank you all for you ongoing enthusiasm for Kerio WinRoute Firewall. KWF wouldn't be where it is today without support of our partners, customers and also betatesters.

As you have probably understood the subject of this topic, Kerio Technologies is preparing a new version of Kerio WinRoute Firewall which will be able to run on platform LINUX. The first public KWF beta on Linux should be available soon - in a few weeks.

As testing is moving forward we would like to see more testers in our internal betatesting program. Therefore we are looking for volunteers to help us make not only KWF on Linux in high quality. If you are interested in testing new KWF features, KWF on new platform and seriously willing to give us feedback for new betas, please send email to betatesting-subscribe<at>kerio.com to join to our betatesting program.

Thank you again for your interest and support and we are looking forward to our future cooperation.

On behalf of Kerio WinRoute Firewall team and Quality Assurance team,

Nice to see that Kerio is setting up an special beta testing group.

Also Winroute for LINUX sounds great, but wouldn't you guys consider a name change, or different name? As the Win in the name

Hi,
thanks for your interest in testing the upcoming beta. The product name had been considered carefully and we chose 'Kerio WinRoute Firewall Appliance Edition' for this version.

Have a nice day

Wow, that's certainly a long name. So "KWFAE"?

The software is function very nice.
I got only a few things i rather see.
* A section to shutdown/restart the os/appliance and restart KWF from the KAC (admin console). The system is running without a monitor attached to it.
* And is it possible to get SNMP working. Because i want to monitor the traffic on the cards.

Nice Step Smile

{} first, what about minimum system req. ?

{} WebCache Size still stuck at 2 gigabyte !!
I thought that 2 gigas was windows limitation!

what about integrating somthing like Squid.
I mean the same extended options.. or at leaset:

-Total cache size not limited to just 2 GB
-Refrish patterns
-control over servers directives ( like no_cache - i know it's present with kerio ) but i mean more options.

{} Bandwidth controlling & advanced traffic Shaper. to controle:
( a single user/mac/IP/domain or group of users/macs/ips/domains )

extended rules for bandwidth controlling/Shaping.

Please,, Please,, Please,,,
add User/client by MAC Address to the formula.

I and many others here wanted this long ago
waiting for it with every version of KWF

Today You'r moving to Linux things.
it's realy not good to find myself not able to control that client(s) who love to change thier IP

Kerio winroute firewall is on the top now..
just these things are missed to be complete!

fool request Embarassed

add more reguler expressions to URL addrissing filters
like " www.google.(com|net|org)/* "

let me control bandwidth by downloaded file extintions
