I currently have a Kerio mail server with about 600 mailboxes. I am having a difficult time with Windows Vista and Windows 7 (using outlook 2007), it constantly freezes up forcing me to close it. Anyway what I am wanting to look at doing was setting up an exchange server for my Vista and Windows 7 machines as well as a blackberry server. So all together I want to put about 30 mail boxes on this exchange server. Will I have to create a new mx recored and register a new mail server?

Thank you

if you keep the same domain name for those 30 users, you will not need to create a new mx record.

in this case, you will need to find a way to send messages between both servers so that mails for an unknown mailaccount on one server get transmitted to the other server

I am planning a migration from kerio to exchange, due to serious slowness of outlook, combined with some bugs that remain unresolved, even 15 months after reporting

I hope to find time to start testing this in september.
If i find a good solution, i'll share it here.
