Hi there,

I'm seeing this in the warning log every now and again:

[19/Aug/2009 13:56:16] Antivirus check of mail from <fubar<_a.t_>snafu.com> to <fumtu<_a.t_>snafu.com> cannot be performed: Classification limit reached


I've had a search of the forum and can only find one reference to this ( http://forums.kerio.com/index.php?t=msg&goto=54879&S =3b3971df2ad1a2fd070e122b215e6bb3#msg_54879) but it does not clear up what the problem is.

We use Sophos AV and the message store is excluded from all scanning (on access and scheduled)

Anyone know what the warning means?

Are you also using Sophos in KMS? Are you sure your version is supported with KMS?

Thanks for the reply!

Sophos was running on the system drive (message store et al is on a different drive) but I've now disabled this to see if this was somehow the cause.

What versions of Sophos supported? I can't find that information on the Kerio site.

The Kerio statement that they support Sophos does tend to give the impression that they are not limited to a version.

You have to diffrentiate between the Anti-Virus solution that you have on your server for scanning all your drives and the Anti-Virus solution you have attached to the KMS engine (built-in is a McAfee scan engine, but you can attach others).

In the KMS console, go to

Configuration > Content Filter > Antivirus

What have you ticked, the "Use integrated McAfee antivirus engine" or the "Use external antivirus"?

Only external anti-virus is being used - Sophos.

OK, can you then switch on "Antivirus checking" in the Debug Log and post the relevant content of the Debug Log here for analysis?
