Hi Guys,

We have started receiving a large amount of spam in our inbox since the past couple of months. We have tried every setting to eliminate the spams and have been unsuccessful so far.

Most of these emails are not detected by kerio mail server and are not given any scores as well. Most of the spams that we receive contain a return path as <stop**<_a.t_>domain.com>. This is different from the from address.

See below:

Return-Path: <stopamyi<_a.t_>totalspineinstitute.com>
X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.0 required=3.0
tests=TOTAL_SCORE: 0.000
X-Spam-Level:
Return-Path: <stopamyi<_a.t_>totalspineinstitute.com>
X-SpamCatcher-Score: 94 [XXXXX]
(100%) Contains spammy domain
X-Alert: possible spam!
X-Color: red
Received: from mx4.totalspineinstitute.com ([91.121.232.103] verified)

90% of emails we receive are spams are similar to the above.

Is there any way to eliminate these kind of spams? Any general rule that will send all spam emails containing return path <Stop<_a.t_>domain.com>.

Any advise to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

Can you describe which settings you have tried? Blacklists? Which? Spam repellent? Bayes?

You can add a Content Filter rule:

Header: Return-Path
Type: Contains substring
Content: stop

If the "X-Alert: possible spam!" is always in the header, you can also make the following Content Filter rule:

Header: X-Alert
Type: Contains substring
Content: possible spam

Hi,

I shall try to get a snapshot of the settings.

In the mean while, I will try setting up a content filter as you mentioned below and let u know the outcome.

Hi,

I tried to implement the custom filter rules as mentioned, but was unsuccessful.

In my kerio mail server custom filter rule in header I only get to see From, To, Subject, X-Envolope To etc.

I did not find Return-Path and X-Alert. Any idea why?

Although it is a drop-down box, you can also type any text you like. Just type Return-Path and X-Alert.
