Microsoft has just released Web Services Edition of Microsoft Entourage 2008. This is an add-on for Entourage which allows the client to connect to MS Exchange 2007 and provides some advanced functions (Task synchronization etc.). Kerio MailServer does provide support for Microsoft Entourage 2008 via WebDAV protocol (ie. like Exchange 2003).

Q: I have Kerio MailServer. Can I install this update?
A: No. Kerio MailServer does not use Exchange Web Services (EWS) protocol and does not support this update.

Q: Do I need the update? Will is affect my current Entourage client?
A: No. Entourage 2008 will continue working with Kerio MailServer with no problems. There is no change.

Q: So, what do you recommend?
A: Stay with current MS Entourage 2008. Do not install Web Services Edition add-on.

Q: I already installed it. What to do?
A: Completely remove MS Entourage 2008 with EWS and install clean copy of Entourage 2008.

Q: Do you plan to support EWS? When?
A: Kerio is providing the best available support for Microsoft Entourage client on Mac. We are going to continue in our effort to be the best groupware solution which supports all Mac clients. This includes also support for Entourage 2008 EWS. Currently, we can't promise any time frame.
