I had 60k+ emails in my account due to I set "leave a copy in server" in my outlook, I tried to delete them, but got "Can't move messages" in online client, so I cleared "leave a copy in server" on my outlook and let it download, it stopped once due to time out, and the second time, it downloaded all emails and then started to delete, but it only deleted 30k+ emails, the item count in the kerio admin shows there is still around 30k+ emails. But there is nothing in the kerio email folder under that account.

Now every time the outlook does the sync, it will go though all 30k+ ghost records, and end up with a bunch of "can not open message" since there is not really any email in the folder.

How can I make the item count sync with the folder? it seems it doesn't update its db right.

Any idea?

thanks

I think you need to go into you user folder on the server and rename index.fld to index.bad in you INBOX folder. You need to make sure that you are completely logged out of any mail programs you might use when you do that. I think that will recalculate your message count. If you want to double check my solution, I would recommend submitting a trouble ticket at support.kerio.com and getting help through the official channels.
