When sending an email from my iPhone, my email address shows as the sender instead of my name. This might be an issue with Apple's Exchange setup in iPhone OS 3.x but wondering if this might be an issue with Kerio.

With IMAP only accounts such as MobileMe and Gmail on the iPhone, there is a field to enter the sender's name in the setup. There is no such field when setting up an Exchange account on the iPhone with 3.x software. So, when I check my sent email, I do not see my name in the 'From' field; only my email address.

Any ideas? Thanks, in advance.

P.S. We are using 6.7.1. Will be updating to 6.7.2 this week but not sure if that's the issue. Thanks!

To make my explanation more simple:

From the iPhone (3.1 OS) and Kerio 6.7.1, the sender reads:

johndoe<_a.t_>xyz.com

instead of...

John Doe

Log in to webmail. Go to Settings -> Mail. Enter your email address in the "Default From Address:" field.

Your name, not email, should then show as the sender from iPhone-sent email.

Thanks a bunch! Works as advertised.

Why the change? I think I always had that field empty.

No idea - I just asked the question a few months ago and got that answer and it worked for me! Smile

I am doing that same thing but every time I enter my name in default from address it says Invalid Email Address.

So, when it says 'invalid email address' that might be because you need to enter the Email Address and not your Name!
