We recently upgraded our Kerio Mail Server to 6.7.2.

When in Outlook 2007 using the KOC I noticed when you now hold the Shift key and press the Delete key to permanently delete an email you get the usual dialog box asking if you are sure if you want to delete the message and you click yes.

Normally the email is deleted completely from your email but with 6.7.2 the email that you selected and clicked yes to permanently delete is now appearing in the Deleted folder which requires you to delete it from there as well to permanently delete the email.

Is there a way to set this back so that when a user permanently deletes an email it gets permanently deleted and not moved to the Deleted folder ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you Kerio_pdobry for the information.

However, this is one change that we are receiving lots of complaints about due to the extra step to permanently delete an email.

I know in the grand scheme of things it is a minor inconvienence but when you are dealing with users that are set in their ways it gets very frustrating to receive multiple emails and phone calls every day since the update complaining with regards to this new feature.

In a future update I would hope that Kerio makes this a feature that can be administered through the Administration Console and provide some flexibility so that it can be set globally to work one way or the other.

Thanks again for the information.
