Hi everyone,
Scenario: outlook 2007 w. KOFF on Vista

One of our staff used to quietly keep part of her email folder hierarchy (with few important incoming mail) in her OUTBOX!!!
Everything rolled well for her until now when we need to rebuild her local store on a different machine.
As expected, KOFF rebuilds everything except 'outbox'.

I did a little test then on stable working Outlook 2007 KOFF / Vista - creating a new folder under Outbox and placing 1 email there.
I've found that:
1. email is getting stored
2. not on the server
3. i don't have any extra PST files created anywhere within the profile
4. there are none of any PST or OST file auto created in
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook or
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook

Where does KOFF let Outlook store them??

Thank you much.

The Outbox folder is a local Outlook folder. It is stores in the .fdb database file used by Kerio Outlook Connector. The only way how to get emails out is to create new PST file in Outlook profile and copy (or move) the emails from the Outbox to the PST file. The attach the file to other Outlook and copy emails.

Thank you, that explains a lot.
There's nothing can be done with the FDB file if its taken out of profile?
In other words if machine (along with outlook and profile) doesn't boot then there's no help in having an access to FDB file?
