I have configured Evolution (2.28.0) to access a Kerio user's contacts through Kerio's LDAP interface but have so far only been able to allow Evolution to read these contacts. What do I need to do to allow it to also write via LDAP? Modifying LDAP address books with Evolution works great in general, we have an OpenLDAP address book, which can be read, written, modified, etc. through Evolution. No matter what I do (e.g. allow anonymous write access in Kerio) this does somehow fail to work with Kerio's LDAP interface.

Did I do anything wrong, or is it just not possible (which might result in us having to look for a solution other than Kerio)?

LDAP server in Kerio MailServer is intended to provide contact search capability to email clients. It is read-only and cannot edit or create the contact.

That's bad news. Is there another way to access Kerio contacts with Evolution?
