I have the situation that wan ip is based on DHCP. If the macadres stays the same the ipadres will not change.

within windows you can change (spoof) macadres for each networkcard.

There is an option available within vmware esx, but it is limited to mac adresses that start with 00:50:56

Any ideas?

Root access to the appliance would be great, but i can think of reasons to keep this restricted.

Mac Address range are limited for each hardware company and it does include VM Ware ESX and ESXi

You have to deal with 00:50:56

I just had a similar issue with a FlexLM licensing server and there not much way around it.

Here a nice link with all brand first 3 series digits of Mac Adress
