Hi all,

I am starting to see duplicate (kind of) IMAP folders in user accounts. An example, user jdoe would have a Sent Items folder and then a Sent Items (John Doe) would appear. This happens with the Deleted Messages folder as well. Always with the user's full name in parentheses. We are using AppleMail 3.6 as an IMAP client. Is this caused by the AppleMail client or Kerio mailserver? We have had some performance issues in the past with the server due to a fragmented volume, but that has been fixed and we have no more performance issues. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

This is because you have had the account set to store Sent & Deleted locally on the client Mac.
When selecting 'Store on server' the folder is moved to the server, but Mail.app starts to use 'Sent|Deleted Messages' folders.

The correct thing is to select the folder ending in 'Items' and go to the Mailbox menu-> Use This Mailbox For... and select the right function.

As Kerio natively uses Sent Items, Deleted Items and Junk E-Mail, you sould select those folders and select the Use for... for each.
