We see the issue with iCal 'bouncing back' to the grey event when a CalDAV sync is happening.
Filled under bugreport FKA-674268:

Hi Kerio,

After upgrading the server to 6.7.3, our iCal users are starting to see an issue where the accepted event invitations get the correct calendar color and then when iCal update the CalDAV queue, it goes back to 'grey', like when the invitation was new. Only difference is, that the invitation is nolonger in the Notifications pane.

Steps:
1: Invite other person on same domain (haven't tested with cross domain invitations)
2: On invites account, accept the event in iCal when it shows up. Event should go from grey to Calendar color.
3: Update the CalDAV account (or wait for iCal to do so automatically)
4: Event goes grey, but if you check the event, the user is still 'accepted'..

We just upgraded this morning to 6.7.3, so far invites are normal from 10.5 users to 10.6 users. How long does it take for an invite to gray out?

EDIT: Ug, nevermind. ical issues up the wazoo now, availablity is odd, duplicate events on iphones, WebDav users on both 10.5 and 10.6 show unavailable as soon as they accept. Gonna have to give that 10.6.2 machine to someone else who doesn't use iCal.

Hey BLTomato,

We saw similar availability issues when we first tried using 10.6 iCal on 6.7.2. It actually affected users that were not using 10.6. Kerio Support thought that our CalDAV database might have been corrupted by our 10.6 testing and they suggested that we rebuild the .caldavdb. It's a simple procedure that only takes seconds. I don't want to tell you the steps in case they now think it's a bad idea Wink If they haven't suggested this to you yet, then maybe mention it to them.

I'm certain that Kerio Support reads the forum and knows who is experiencing these problems, but anyone is welcome to cite our tickets when submitting their own:

[#OEB-122463]: Event status always shows as not accepted (iCal, iPhone)
[#NEG-670346]: 6.7.3 won't deliver notifications from iCal 10.5 CalDAV event

Now we are learning that if a user is on SL, and they try and send an invitation from a webdav calendar (Only local calendars work) that they get an immediate bounce message and the invite never goes anywhere. This is what the message bounce looks like:

The server was not able to deliver your email message

Subject: test event
Date: Fri, 18 Dec 2009 11:34:35 -0800

to the following addresses:

</principals/__uids__/5C4AE4B4-BEA5-11DA-AB05-000D939C50EC/> (mail.bltomato.com: Mailbox does not exist)Reporting-MTA: dns; mail.bltomato.com
Arrival-Date: Fri, 18 Dec 2009 11:34:35 -0800

Original-Recipient:
Final-Recipient: rfc822;/principals/__uids__/5C4AE4B4-BEA5-11DA-AB05-000D939C50EC/
Action: failure
Status: 5.1.1
Diagnostic-Code: SMTP; Mailbox does not exist

Note this was to a normal address autofilled from the Kerio Directory. User is on 10.6.2 bound to OD and Kerio for contacts. Inviting from local calendars works fine, but that doesn't help our teams on WebDav.

That bounce is a Kerio 6.7.2 bug. It should be fixed in 6.7.3 - are you upgraded?

Yes (these were submitted as a follow-up to the support ticket #NEG-670346):

Dec 12 12:38:46 newman iCal[90253]: Discarding non-same-day AVAILABLE, iCal doesn't understand it.

I think that the two "etag conflict" lines are because I tried changing the time of the event a few minutes after creating it to see if that would trigger notification, which it didn't. This was 10.5 to 10.6 iCal.

Having similar issues here: Kerio 6.7.3 and 10.5.8 clients. They can't send out invites, they don't go through and the mail log of Kerio shows no activity at all (no invite mails sent).

We switched to 6.7.3 to circumvent the bug in 6.7.2 with the /principals/users/blabla being used as a mail address when inviting a ressource.

Reverting to 6.7.2 now.

Sending invitations from iCal 3 (Mac OS X 10.5.x) is addressed in patch1.

Thanks, pdobry.
It wasn't in the release notes..is this because this was not an 'official' bug?

Upgraded to patch1 this weekend and a user on leopard that was previously unable to get invites to work at all since 6.7.3 can now send invites properly on a shared calendar and the status now shows up correctly. Haven't tried a SL user yet but thats at least good news!
