I am using WRF5.1.10 under WinXP

Found that there is lots of Outgoing UDP 137(outgoing NETBIOS-NS) traffic logged in Connection Status. Shocked
http://forums.kerio.com/index.php?t=getfile&id=132

The connections are from Local(LAN)IP to internet...
(incoming is blocked by default)

I've checked/scanned the host by NO virus/worm/trojan/backdoor is found.

Previously I've test with some firewall, included Winroute Pro and WRF5.x, but no such connection if found.

Would some expert here can help me to track down what's going on ?
Tks.

I have seen this before. I think that it is caused by windows, possibly netbios over tcp/ip. I have created a rule to drop all these packets, and not seen any performance hit at all.

I also think that it can be caused by Windows DNS server. I resolved all the addresses that the traffic was going to and they were all DNS servers.

I have also checked with M$,
they said it is called from WinXP itself and it is normal.

Yes, I've created a rule to drop all of it.
But, somebody said it is abnormal...
So I have a doubt~~ Confused
