Hi again.

I'm trying to figure out this GAL-thing. It would be great if i could put in other info then all accounts, for instants some suppliers, customers etc. Would be lovely to find this kind of info on the iPhones or other mobiles.

But how do i do it? In admin console i can only see accounts?

Regards

It's probably better in the long run to make a public contact folder and have the users look there. It's more flexible too: users can choose whether to use it as an address book or not when composing mail. You can also delegate the maintenance of it to one or more users. Apart from educating your users, what's not to like? Wink

The Global Address List is only supposed to be a list of all the users in the domain, nothing else.

We use Public Contact list. How can I hide the GAL from all my users?

To hide the GAL (Public - Contacts), go to the admin user account and change the access rights on the Contacts to only include the people you want to see it. In my case I removed everyone who could see it. THen made a new Contacts list and put the info there that I wanted people to see, and allowed everyone to see that one.
