Tracking licensing data
Since this version, the installation reports to Kerio data necessary for licensing.

Can someone tell me, what kind of data will be transmitted to Kerio for licensing?
The release note doesn't give me detailed information about it.

It is important to know how the tracking of licences will work.

We intend to fully install Kerio Connect 7 in a separate, testing machine, already installed with 6.7 version, to test upgrade and potential problems. It is supposed that a the time of this testing installation, licences will be informed to kerio: What would happen when real installation should be upgraded? would it be permitted or denied?

Another case: Can we have a backup /testing installation without having to buy again the whole number of licences?

Set up a test computer with Kerio and run Wireshark to see which data is transmitted to the Kerio server?

You can install any KMS/Connect 7 version on a clean computer in trial mode and use all features for 30 days. Betatesters have a special license for betatesting. Please not that you can install trial version on the computer only once. Then you need to reformat or enter a valid license.

Trial installation on any server won't affect KMS/Connect 7 running on another server.
