Hello,

is Outlook 2003 SPA (Secure Password Authentication) with Linux CentOS supported?

We successfully connect to our Windows Active Directory and manual user authentication works fine.

But always trying to conecct through SPA Outlook 2003 shows: (Für technischen Support: 0x80004005 , Synchrinizator::setOnlineInternal:Error while testing connection!)

Any idea?

A. Victor

As far as I understand it then the server has to be Windows based. That's what I found out when I installed our Kerio server last year. NTML authentication apparently only works across Windows machines.

That's true. But we have an AD connected to CentOS. E.g we connect to Proxy-Server squid through NTLM over Kerberos. User don#t have to authenticate in IE (single-sign-on). That works fine. So i cannot understand why it doesn't work within Kerio. Maybe some Kerio Technician can help us.

Maybe it's a Kerio limitation? I have successfully used NTML authentication from Apple Mail to Kerio mailserver so it seems that NTML does indeed work on other platforms as long as you have a working Kerberos.
