On Kerio Web Mail client I moved 2 calendars to be subcalendars of Calendar so their events will be part of busy/free scheduling. But when I did that these 2 calendars disappeared from iCal (Mac OS X 10.5.Cool. How can I get iCal to see these 2 calendars?

You can't.
I think that is an 'error' on Kerio Webmails part. As far as I know, CalDAV does not support nested calendars.

Update: iCal (10.6) allows you to set 'Events affect availability' for each calendar, but the setting does not 'stick' so I don't think this is supported (yet) by Kerio.

Slightly off-topic, but I'm probably not the first one to suggest this: It would be very helpful if Kerio published a chart showing the more popular client apps and how their various features interact (or not) with KC7.

I'm picturing a matrix where you could see that things like the "Events Affect Availability" account preference in iCal have no meaning to KC7, or how permissions on ALL public calendars will always take the lowest permission level present on ANY ONE of the public calendars, or whether the "Mark time as free/busy" switch in iCal events works (I don't know the answer to that one), etc. etc., for iCal (Leopard vs. Snow), Mail, Entourage, Outlook, what have you...

I have need to have MANY calendars not tied to particular users... For example:

Accounting
Calendar1
Calendar2
Production
Calendar1
Calendar2

and have them show up nested in iCal..
The only way I can think of is to create a new user for each top level (Accounting/Production) but this would use 1 license per top level.

Is there another way to display nested calendars in iCal?

Thanks

If you by Nested, mean Calendars under the specified account, then it's no problem.

Under Public Folders, it does not work - they all need to be under the root folder - as far as I can test on our KC7 server...

So, using a licens and making the calendars there, works fine - as long as you don't nest them further down into folders!
