I'm having no luck connecting iCal (Leopard) to our 6.7.3 p1 server. The "Kerio iCal Config Tool" runs fine but then as soon as I launch iCal, it starts flooding my system.log with these messages:

Mar 5 12:33:16 macbook iCal[73307]: Calendaring data empty
Mar 5 12:33:16 macbook iCal[73307]: CaliTIPMessage: iTIP Message contained no events
Mar 5 12:33:16 macbook iCal[73307]: Calendaring data empty
Mar 5 12:33:16 macbook iCal[73307]: CaliTIPMessage: iTIP Message contained no events

I try deleting the calendar and account settings from iCal and starting over, but the same thing happens. Here is what I get from webdav debugging:

Contacting our technical support would be much better. Anyway, deleting the .caldav.db file should fix it.

Thank you that did the trick!

Did you do anything other than deleting the caldav.db?

I've got a similar problem, every refresh floods the logs with these entries

We're running 6.7.2 and it happens to both 10.5.8 and 10.6.2 machines. Trashed the .caldav.db over the weekend but its still going on. I've already copied the content of the calendar into a fresh calendar and then dragged the messages from list view back into the original, which is meant to weed out any tricksie messages. Was there anything else that you did, or anything you can think of that might be helpful?

Thanks

On the client side, I deleted the account that was having the error messages. Then, I shut down KMS, deleted .caldav.db and restarted KMS. I added the iCal account back via the config tool. That was it.

The only problem was, after bringing the server back up, I received a flood of about 70 "iCal event update" emails. These were from a single recurring event that I had been invited to. We had just been testing it out, but I wonder what had happened if it had contained a company's worth of data.

I have tried deleting and re-adding the calendar, deleting the account from the Preferences pane but not removing the content of ~/Library/Calendars.
I got a few more errors;
23/03/2010 09:32:04 iCal[6972] Date validation error: RDATE = '20081031T200000Z/20081031T213000Z'
23/03/2010 09:32:04 iCal[6972] Date validation error: RDATE = '20081212T220000Z/20081213T000000Z'

but then the CaliTIP messages start up again. If I was to accurately reproduce your method I would need to kick 80+ users off their calendars before trashing the caldav Sad so I'm going to see what else can be worked out.

I'm liaising with tech support to see if there are any malformed events in the calendar itself, which would be consistent since its the same number of errors each and every time.

If I find an answer I'll post it
