Hi,

I plan on setting up a master/slave setup with a vpn link with one of my Kerio servers so that the branch office get their own server - the vpn link gets stressed a lot by internal mails.

Question is: When I set up the slave and transfer some users over to the slave server, do I also have to change the mailserver address that's in their iPhones? Will I have to open the ports on the branch office firewall (location of the slave server), or will all traffic be routed via the master server?

I'm still a little unclear on the issue.

Thanks for clearing this up!

The users must point their client to their "home" server. If you migrate user to another server itis necessary to change server address in clients. And open ports on firewall in branch office. Only emails and freebusy lookups are transported between servers.
