It used to be that if you weren't using AD or AD, there was no easy way to import a large number of users.

Kerio had a KB article http://support.kerio.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=v iewarticle&kbarticleid=209 (that should be removed by the way) to manually create a users.cfg and I'd do the same sort of thing using a Perl script.

I haven't had to do that in several years because it's all been either AD or just a handful of users. Today I had a customer with 130 users and when I looked at the users.cfg, I realized that a new GUID field has been added that I'd have to figure out how to generate.

Well, duh, no I don't: sometime in the intervening years Kerio added an "Import from CSV" function that I just hadn't noticed. It's in the manuals, of course: http://manuals.kerio.com/connect/adminguide/en/sect-importac counts.html

Just when did this get added? I'm just curious because I almost missed it entirely.

Tony,

I started working with KMS in September 06 and the feature was there at that time, so that was 6.2(?) so I'd suspect that it's been in all the 6.x releases.

Cheers,
Jon

More precisely, it was introduced in Kerio MailServer 6.2.0 in 2006. Smile

Which means I haven't had to do this in a long, long time.

I don't know how I missed this but I think I better re-read the whole manual to see if I missed anything else!
