I get these often too. Usually followed by a line with the error:
cannot establish SSL connection with {xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx}

I had some yesterday at the same time I was troubleshooting a user trying to access through a hotel ethernet connection. The IP looks to be in the same subnet as the user. Perhaps this is a case of hotels not allowing certain communications? I know that some block the SMTP communication if it isn't through their mailserver.

Hi all,

Is there a more detailed explanation as to why the error is occuring and what impact it has on day to day usage?

Thanks and regards
