Hi

Have Kerio Connect 7 patch 2 running in a mixed environment, Outlook 2003-2007, Apple Mail 10.4-10.6

One client running fully patched Mac 10.5.8 on Mail sometimes shows messages like this-
{\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\fromhtml1 \fbidis \deff0{\fonttbl

{\f0\fswiss\fcharset0 Arial;}

{\f1\fmodern Courier New;}

{\f2\fnil\fcharset2 Symbol;}

{\f3\fmodern\fcharset0 Courier New;}}

{\colortbl\red0\green0\blue0;\red0\green0\blue255;}

\uc1\pard\plain\deftab360 \f0\fs24

{\*\htmltag19 <html xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:o="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" xmlns:m="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40">}

{\*\htmltag2 \par }

{\*\htmltag2 \par }

{\*\htmltag34 <head>}

{\*\htmltag1 \par }

{\*\htmltag1 \par }

I have removed rest of message as its very long.

So only one or two out of hundreds of emails do this.

Webmail it looks fine, same email sent to 10.6 Mac is fine.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I have tested and troubleshooted the 10.5.8 mac.

Thanks
Ed

It's a bug in Apple Mail on Leopard and Tiger. If the message has multiple alternative parts (plaintext, HTML, RTF) Apple Mail displays RTF part even if it cannot display it properly. The user have to switch the view (View/Message/Previous Alternative or Next Alternative).
Apple Mail on Snow Leopard seems to be fixed.

It does not depend on server.

Great Thanks.

Have not had any issues on 10.4 clients yet.
