Just a quick question:
Is there a way to email some of the Kerio Connect logs to an admin email address on a set schedule?

I'm mainly interested in the security log as I have had some login attempts from IPs in China and Kenya.

Thanks

Hello,

It depends of the OS platform.

But on a linux RHEL 5 (Kerio-connect), I use msmtp (because sendmail has to be stopped) and mutt :

[root<_at_>server ~]# cat .muttrc
set sendmail="/usr/local/bin/msmtp"
set from=administrateur<_at_>domain.com

I compiled and installed msmtp.

[root<_at_>sserver ~]# cat .msmtprc
account default
host my_kerio_server.domain.com
from administrateur<_at_>domain.com

[root@server ~]# history|grep mutt

876 mutt -a /opt/kerio/mailserver/logs/security.log.1 -s " my log files" recipient<_at_>domain.com < /dev/null

I has the best experience with syslog. You ca set the log to send messages to any syslog server and you can do almost everything on the syslog server then (send digests, send email alerts etc.).

Sorry to bump an old thread, but ...

We are using Splunk for all of our logging needs and I am just curious if it is possible to change the syslog port that Kerio sends out of, or is only UDP 514?

Thanks!
