Kerio Mailserver 6.7.3 patch 1
Windows XP SP3,IE 8

We use Webmail only and sometimes users cannot connect to Kerio. Sometimes logging off and on will allow connection, other times a reboot fixes the problem and for one user in particular they have to wait 10-15 minutes before they can logon. If users go to another computer they can logon.

This has been happening infrequently since we started using Kerio almost 2 years ago but lately it seems to be happening more frequently.

There are 40-60 users connected during the 8am-5pm business day. The Kerio Server has plenty of CPU and disk I/O available.

The PC of the user that this happens to most freqently is less than a year old is a 3ghz dual core cpu, 300gb hard drive (a lot of free space) and 2gb of memory.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing the connection problems and how to fix it?

Are your users on a directory server or they manually entered into Kerio?

When you say they can't connect do you mean they get no web page or an error page, or they can't authenticate, or they're logged in but the interface becomes unresponsive?

Users are on a directory server (Active Directory).

They do not get the logon webpage.

Try to disable the reverse lookup for connecting hosts. We had this problem a while ago and disabling the reverse lookup solved it.
