IP addresses are best used in Traffic Policy.
DNS names - in the HTTP Policy

Your http blocking policy should be above of policy who allows users to browse the internet.

Hi Mrhamidifar,

I thought that maybe the website have more than 1 IP so your block rule was not work properly. But you are right rajanews.com have only 1 IP.

But the best way to block to access that website is create a HTTP POLICY. Because rajanews.com website administrator can change an IP of website at any time. But they can't change the name of website.

To block a website

1. Create an URL GROUP for rajanews.com from "Definations/Url Groups"
http://proxima.web.tr/pub/kerio/2010-07-13_103015.png

2. After creating URL GROUP, create a HTTP POLICY from "Content Filtering/HTTP Policy"
http://proxima.web.tr/pub/kerio/2010-07-13_103158.png

While creating HTTP POLICY you can define the Denial Options
http://proxima.web.tr/pub/kerio/2010-07-13_103207.png

3. And put that HTTP POLICY on the top of other HTTP POLICY rules.

With these settings all of your users see a blank page when they try to open RAJANEWS website.

I have a question:
Why did you not simply put the *rajanews* in the "Blocked Websites" group?

satzinger,

Because this is my virtual Server and these screenshots are only for demonstration to explain to mrhamidifar that how to create an URL GROUP and HTTP Policy for that URL GROUP.

Hi mrhamidifar,

It should work fine if your server and client side settings are done properly.

Can you please tell us more details about your configuration (both server and client) including your IP structures?
