Hi

Standard port for Kazaa is 1214, but when i define appropriate rule
Kazaa can't connect. If I define rule:
Source: Any
Target: Any
Service: Kazaa (port 1214 in service definition)

Kazaa can't connect. If I expand port range to 1214-1314 is still te same problem with connection. What's wrong?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Two things are wrong: Kazaa supernodes and clients use various ports (almost random) and if you want use Kazaa client from local network, NAT in rule definition is missing.

The rule should look like:

Source: local interface
Destination: Internet interface
Service: any
Translation: NAT (default outgoing interface)
Action: Permit

OK, I know that Kazaa use various port, for this reason I want to assign some port range. Not all ports Smile

Above rule does not apply to me because Im not in LAN.
I have public IP and i don't need NAT.

Hi gluestick, I'll give you the configuration I have on KWF which is running kazza perfectly.

Source: any
Destination: firewall
Service: tcp/udp port 1214 (this service comes predifined on KWF as Service-Kazaa)

No translation needed.

Hope this helps you out.
Good Luck
